Jordan Bromine Company, a leading company in the field of chemical industries, is seeking to invest in the best talents. We are pleased to announce a career opportunity for the position of Customs Clearance Clerk. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic and professional environment, where the selected candidate will manage customs documentation, ensure compliance with regulations, and facilitate import and export operations, including the determination and processing of duties and taxes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Knowledge and application of the latest updates to customs policies and procedures to ensure compliance with government requirements, laws, and company policies.
• Ensuring the effective implementation of customs procedures in accordance with applicable local and international legislation and regulations.
• Carrying out the necessary legal and administrative procedures to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted passage of goods through customs borders.
• Executing and implementing all necessary procedures for the clearance of goods in accordance with customs legislation and specified regulations.
• Handling documents and providing the necessary information to the relevant government authorities.
• Preparing a customs declaration for all shipments to ensure the smooth movement of all export/import shipments.
• Preparing and submitting all necessary documents for the customs clearance process, including shipping invoices, certificates of origin, commercial invoices, and other customs declarations as defined by procedures and regulations.
• Maintaining completed and ongoing customs documents in designated locations to ensure their constant availability.
• Following up on open shipments for customs declarations for export and import to properly close the completed customs file with the government.
• Coordinating with shipping and customs agents in foreign countries for the clearance of shipments abroad.
• Collecting, sorting, and verifying the accuracy of data before entry to ensure data segregation.
• Identifying data entry errors and correcting them or reporting them to supervisors to ensure data accuracy.
• Comparing data with original documents and re-entering data to verify and detect errors.
• Maintaining records of customs operations and completed tasks.
• Calculating local duties for each shipment and tracking shipping payments and quotas in accordance with customs clearance laws.
• Monitoring the customs guarantee account to keep it within acceptable limits and prevent exceeding the maximum limit to ensure the continuity of the shipping process.
• Obtaining customs authorization for special cases to ensure the continuity of the shipping process
Skills Description
: Educational Qualifications
- Diploma degree in Management or any related field
:Professional Certifications and Training
Any of the following certifications are considered an added advantage
- Jordanian Customs Broker License
- Training on Jordanian Customs Regulations
- Specialized Training in Jordanian Customs Clearance
- Certificate in Customs and Trade Compliance (CCTC)
- Branch Manager Course
- Accredited and required courses by the Jordan Customs Service
- Recognized professional certifications in the field of supply chain management and customs clearance, such as: Certified Customs Specialist, Certified Logistics Specialist, and others.

- 3-4 years of experience in customs clearance
