Therefore, we announce an opportunity for the position of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer for Production Units – OU E/I Eng . Responsibilities include analyzing root causes of malfunctions, providing technical support, and leading major electrical maintenance operations. Responsibilities:
· Conduct regular inspections of the plant’s electrical and instrumentation systems to identify and proactively address potential issues.
· Follow up on all electrical matters related to electrical system equipment such as MCC panels, switchgears, transformers, overhead lines, etc.
· Support the supervision of electrical maintenance technicians by monitoring the execution of maintenance works to ensure that electrical equipment is properly and safely maintained, and that all repairs are performed efficiently, safely, with high quality, and at minimal time and cost, in a planned manner.
· Collaborate with production and planning teams to schedule electrical maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to production operations, and assist planners in preparing detailed work plans in accordance with best electrical maintenance practices and approved engineering standards.
· Maintain documentation of electrical operations and maintenance activities, including monthly reports, repair logs, and equipment history records.
· Work with external service providers and contractors for specialized repairs or maintenance, including defining and clarifying the scope of work, ensuring the availability of required materials and tools, and supervising the execution of work to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all maintenance operations.
· Train and guide the maintenance team to enhance their skills and knowledge in plant maintenance.
· Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
· Ensure achievement of defined departmental objectives and performance indicators.
· Provide technical support to the maintenance team, procurement team, and project team as required.
· Recommend design modifications to reduce machinery failures in coordination with the concerned departments.
· Review electrical and instrumentation (E/I) system drawings with the concerned departments.
· Participate in identifying procurement needs for materials and equipment for the department, in coordination with supervisors and maintenance planners.
· Lead major maintenance operations, including preparation and planning with planning and operations teams, ensuring the availability of spare parts and necessary materials, and following up on execution and testing/inspection activities.
· Follow up on continuous improvement projects.
· Monitor Management of Change (MOC) requests and related activities, such as updating electrical and instrumentation (E/I) system drawings, and follow up on implementation.
· Follow up on incident reports within the assigned scope of work and related corrective actions.
· Design, review, and regularly update electrical maintenance procedures.
Skills Description
Educational Qualification:
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering (E/I).
Professional Certificates and Training:
· Advanced training courses in preventive maintenance and technical maintenance analysis.
Practical Experience:
· 1–3 years of experience in the field of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering (E/I).
Required Knowledge:
· In-depth understanding of the principles and concepts of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering (E/I), including the design and analysis of electrical and instrumentation systems using engineering tools and software.
· Familiarity with local and international engineering regulations and standards related to Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering (E/I) and adherence thereto.
· Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methods for equipment and machinery.
· Understanding of engineering standards related to Electrical and Instrumentation (E/I) systems and environmental legislation.
Skills and Competencies:
