Job Description

Jordan Bromine Company, a leading company in the field of chemical industries, is seeking to invest in the best talents. Therefore, we announce an opportunity for the position of Field Operator  we offer this distinctive opportunity to work in a stimulating and professional environment, where you will be responsible for operating machinery and equipment, ensuring that all operational processes and activities are completed efficiently according to Jordan Bromine Company's procedures, shift supervisor instructions, and general safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Implement operating and safety procedures according to JBC standards and policies, monitor all environmental aspects in the plant to ensure safe and correct field operations, and take corrective actions as needed in coordination with the supervisor to ensure the safety of employees, equipment, and the environment.
• Operate and shut down plant machinery and equipment according to instructions and shift supervisor directives, including trial operations of any new equipment and providing reports on these operations.
• Load and unload chemicals into barrels, bulk containers, ISO tanks, and chlorine ISO tanks.
• Clean equipment, which may include high-pressure machines, at their locations from any blockages according to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization according to Jordan Bromine Company's standards, monitor all environmental aspects of the plant, and apply procedures as per shift supervisor instructions.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance using isolation and lockout procedures (LTT), and clean and flush equipment as requested by the shift supervisor.
• Prepare for isolation and lockout of plant equipment as required by line opening permits and restricted area entry permits.
• Escort contractors and drivers from the main gate into the plant or vice versa.
• Safely store and transport all required samples to the laboratory.
• Report any hazards or chemical leaks to the direct supervisor and handle them according to the approved emergency plan, continuing to manage the situation until it is resolved or mitigated.
• Monitor required technical readings and continuously report any deviations or discrepancies to management, including reporting any mechanical or electrical faults that could affect operational and production processes.
• Attend safety training courses, participate in Emergency Response Team (ERT) training, and training on operational procedures according to company requirements to ensure the safety of unit employees and visitors.
• Monitor operational sites to ensure that processes are completed according to required procedures and technical instructions, and adhere to environmental and general safety standards for the plant.
• Continuously monitor all plant equipment, track required operational readings, and document them in the required records according to ISO 9001 standards.
• Perform any other tasks related to the department's work as assigned by the responsible manager.

 

Qualifications, Experience, Competencies & Skills

Educational, Experience Qualifications:

  • A diploma in a related field (preferably in chemical industries) with at least two years of experience.
