Millwright Technician

Responsibilities:

• Install and assemble machinery and equipment in accordance with specifications, ensuring proper alignment and correct functionality.
• Assist in setting up new machinery and modifying existing equipment.
• Perform periodic inspections of mechanical systems and machinery to identify potential issues before they lead to failures.
• Monitor equipment performance and provide recommendations for upgrades or replacements as necessary.
• Work closely with millwright technicians, engineers, and production personnel to coordinate maintenance activities and resolve issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machinery performance and reliability.
• Propose and implement best practices for maintenance and operation to improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, performed repairs, and conducted inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and order standards and clean maintenance equipment, tools, and work sites.
• Follow all instructions and standards related to health and safety during work.
• Report any problems or risks to the direct supervisor and provide the necessary technical support.
• Be prepared to handle emergency situations such as hazardous material leaks or power outages.

Educational Qualification:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a specialized vocational training center. 

Professional Experience:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar field.

Required Knowledge

• Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency in the use of hand tools and power tools, in addition to diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and diagrams.
